The Elemental journey at the airport.

“I am on my way, I can go the distance” – Hercules

“The Flight AI611 is delayed by another 45 mins, we are sorry for the inconvenience. “, announcement called up. I put my hands over my head, sighing deeply. My subconscious back to her thought process, “you have a connecting flight to another city, what if you miss your flight”! I shooed of the thoughts, took out my book and started reading, it was a biography,” I know why the caged bird sings – Maya Angelou”.

As the time clocked, I started to worry as only 2 hours were left to my next flight and the current one was not even close to taking off. Another half an hour and we started to board the flight. The distance was expected to be covered in 45 mins, according to the pilot, I started to panic. There was hardly any time left for the second flight.

We arrived at the runway around 13:45 pm, only short of 8 mins to my next flight. I was sure that I would miss my flight. But then, an idea clicked and I asked the air hostess to let me move out first as I would miss my next flight, she insisted on waiting as first class passengers would get down first. I thought of bugging her, flashing the puppy dog eyes, just in case to be heard. At last she gave up and helped me get down second. The time kept ticking away, only 3 mins to go.

I was at the other end of the terminal, I saw an official and requested him to please delay the flight by merely 5 mins because the first flight got delayed. I pleaded and pleaded. He connected with some people on that little device and after few minutes he said, “Ma’am, the flight has been delayed by 10 mins as the luggage is still loading up.” I was thrilled to hear this, the official insisted on accompanying me to the gate as well. I thanked him for his effort and service.

Always be a little kinder than necessary.

The Origin Of The World – By Spanish artist, Borondo

The Origin Of The World, plays with the concepts of life and birth and attempts to depict the journey of a child from a mother’s womb to the world. The arch in the middle with the tree emerging from it becomes a metaphor for birth, while the boat floating on the river flowing between the columns on the right signifies life and the journey that the child must begin.

Vishwaroopa – Inkbrushnme

In this piece Inkbrushnme continues to explore concepts of Indian mythology which are a recurring theme in his work. Vishwaroopa is an all encompassing omni form of Lord Vishnu and marks the beginning of 18 day battle of Mahabharata. Vishnu manifests in his cosmic grandeur hypnotising Arjuna, the supreme warrior and shows him that all universal matter, animate and inanimate is him.
